Idea Box Don’t Leave Home Without It
Where do you go when you need an idea? I go to my idea box. Whether for business or personal use an idea box is a great tool.
What is so special about an idea box? How many times have you had a great idea and not two minutes later completely forgot the whole thing? An idea box is a way to record and store ideas.
What is it? It can be anything used to store ideas. A physical box is good. Personally I use a file folder. You could also use a binder or a personal voice recorder. Use what ever works best for you.
What do you do? First, carry a pen a paper with you at all times (or some method of recording ideas). Then anytime you have an idea record it in a stream of conscious. The point here is to just get it down on paper. Later when you have a moment go ahead and record any clarification points. Then put it in your idea box. At some point in the future you’ll need an idea. Go to the box. You will be amazed at what you find. Some ideas you toss away. Others you process further.
Make the idea box a habit and you will not regret it!
